In ’92 my mom had a crate of Iowa strawberries. So we decided to try making jam. It was our first time. EVER. It was only because I took my husband’s Dilly Beans at the State Fair that the jam even got entered. And it wound up winning a Blue Ribbon!
Maybe our Jam was so good because Iowa was so hot that summer. The berries were very sweet. (Was it legal – using Iowa strawberries?)
