Jon (Jack) and Jill Hagel's State Fair Jack & Jill's Baby Dills
Jon (aka “Jack”) was inspired by a classic dill pickle brine recipe in an old cookbook. Jill buys midget cukes fresh from a farmer friend and cleans them in her clothes washer. Daughter Ellie washes the jars. Finally Jon adds his brine and fresh dill. “We give jars away at Christmas ’cause people go crazy for the rich, real dill flavor.
